We’re thrilled to share that we are hosting an incredible opportunity for high school freshmen and sophomores with disabilities interested in manufacturing. Thanks to a generous grant from Nuts, Bolts and Thingamajigs, we’ll host a free, four-week summer camp from July 15 to August 9, running on weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to noon.
We’re limiting the camp to just ten students to ensure a personalized experience. Throughout the program, participants will engage in a mix of instructor-led lessons and hands-on activities. By the end, they’ll even get to create their own capstone project! Plus, we’ve arranged exciting field trips to local manufacturing firms for some real-world learning.
This year, our camp will be based at the Lewis & Clark Career Center in St. Charles. If you’re interested or know someone who might be, feel free to apply at https://BCI-NBT2024camp.eventbrite.com or reach out to Chief Program Officer of Employment Services Matt Jannings at 636-875-5264 or via email at mjannings@boonecenter.com. Let’s make this summer one to remember!
