As a monthly donor, you are a sustaining advocate for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who choose to work. Your generosity provides reliable, ongoing funding for BCI’s continuum of innovative services and special programs.
Our employees take incredible pride in the work they do—both individually and as a team. This pride and hard work often leads to incredible success! Your sustaining gift of $5/month will support the celebration of their achievements through fun prizes, cards, awards and trophies.
The BCI Skills Center trains adults with disabilities for competitive jobs in a variety of industries that pay competitive wages. One such training program, in partnership with True Manufacturing, takes place in a replicated workspace in our building. Your sustaining gift of $20/month will cover cleaning supplies to teach these students their new production skills.
Providing meaningful work is just one way we support the personal growth of our employees. Our BCI Packaging workplace also gives them a safe social environment where they make friends! Your recurring donation of $25/month will enhance our special events that foster forever friendships and memories that last a lifetime.
Adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities sometimes take a different path to employment. The instructional tools can look the same as mainstream training. However, the teaching methods and related soft skill coaching are modified for individual learners. Your sustaining gift of $50/month will purchase certified nursing assistant textbooks, workbooks, and instructor website access to prepare Health Care and Social Assistance Support students for their new careers.
For some adults with disabilities, having a job and all the joys and benefits that come with it seems impossible. That’s why our BCI Packaging work anniversaries are extra special! Your gift of $100/month will cover our biannual anniversary parties where we celebrate the milestone anniversaries of our amazing team members.
Our team is always raising the bar in vocational instruction for adults with disabilities. Immersive learning using virtual reality goggles is the future! It helps individuals experience careers they might have otherwise never considered, and applying the technology in the classroom improves employment outcomes. Your sustaining gift of $166/month will purchase one set of VR goggles to help individuals see and achieve their dreams of joining the competitive workforce.
Whatever amount is right for you, please know it makes a difference in the lives of the adults with disabilities we serve.
